The store is visible from the main road. They are fairly large and stock a wide range of interesting items, from clothes to pencil cases. It is a nice place to grab a souvenir of Tekapo or the surrounding area. They have large plastic animals located outside which you can take your picture with. there is also a jellybean chef sitting on a seat by their side door. It was a nice shop to browse in and to find something interesting.

29 June 2021 (Covid Level 1), my partner and I wandered into this shop to browse... I was drawn to some men's Merino stock and elected to purchase an Avoca Merinosilk zipped cardigan. Probably the best purchase I ever made... a surprise 50% discount, the garment is light-weight, soft, warm and durable (still wearing it three months later into the spring!). Staff were excellent in their service with me - special acknowledgement to a Japanese woman. I have since purchased Manuka honey from their online service. Nice shop and staff, worthy of a browse...

If I knew how to rate this place as a no star I would. My wife asked for some postage stamps in the shop, as it advertises that it sells stamps, and there is a New Zealand post mail box outside the shop. The shop assistant put the stamps in a bag, took my wife's card, and put the transaction through. At this stage, I took the stamps out of the bag as I had been standing next to my wife, and I hadn't seen stamps like them before, and I wanted to have a closer look. I saw that the stamps were DX and for intetnational postcards only. I explained to the shop assistant that these were not what we wanted and were completely useless to us. My wife had bought 10 stamps at a cost of $36 or $37.50, instead of the $27 dollars for New Zealand post stamps. I asked to be refunded but the shop assistant was very rude and said she would not refund the money. I asked for her boss's phone number and she said she could not contact him. I consider her and this company dishonest and warn everyone to steer clear of them. They are thieves. This took place about 1 pm on Tuesday 25 May, 2021.

I was quite saddened by this store. Visited while travelling through with my family and found they were largely only interested in selling to overseas tourists. The prices are high, but it's the products that made me sick. Blankets, rugs, coats etc all made from the skins of baby animals. You could actually see by the size of the skins stitched together just how small the babies would have been when they were killed to be skinned for a rug. This is not "naturally NZ", just cruel.
