We had an amazing time and spend two days at the lodge to celebrate our wedding at the lodge as part of their elopement package. Every detail was perfect, very caring and considerate staff, excellent food, a breathtaking accommodation with our own bath and amazing views over the lake and Mount Cook. They managed our wedding day and provided wonderful photos and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Mike and his wife Anna and their staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We had a stress-free, elegant wedding, from start to finish top notch service and personal, kind hosts. The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable of the area and sorroundings, always happy to help and suggest highlights of the area. We enjoyed using their bikes for exploring and got lost in the beautiful relaxation massages Anna gave us. No doubt, this is a gem in the McKenzie Country, we will back at this special place.
We had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Lakestone Lodge this weekend past. Our friends had exclusive use of the venue for the entire weekend, and whilst we didn't stay at LL, we day tripped in each day for socializing. We were blown away with the surroundings of the venue, the service, the food, and the location! Despite the fact we weren't overnight guests, the staff on site treated us with such care and attention. We spent a bit of time in the guest rooms, and they were luxuriously lovely. Every mouthful of food and drink was exquisite. We would love to come back and stay ourselves next year!
I will give this place more than 5 stars if I could. Absolutely lovely place. From the time I got picked up by Mike from Queenstown airport to my return shuttle ride after checkout. He was a tour guide as well during the ride. The lodge was very serene, location was perfect with absolute gorgeous views of lake pukaki & mount cook. Service was very personalized and impeccable. Meals were delicious and of highest quality. A true retreat and perfect R & R for anyone. I highly recommend!
Thinking back to last week's days at Lakestone Lodge, first walking into my room then out onto a private courtyard with a view that takes your breath away, Mt Aoraki and its accompanying ranges quietly called me back during my stay, to gaze on their magnificence and take time to just be. From the thoughtfully sited, designed and crafted eco accommodation, the superb 3 course dining that is unrivaled in my long life to the genuinely interested and perceptive staff who gave time and space when needed. The Lakestone retreat holiday rates at the highest level for me. The remembered images, environment and people of Lakestone Lodge still make me stop, smile and sigh with gratitude from here on until next time - Thank you.
