The location staff and rooms are really good. We stayed in 3 room villa with Lake view which was really beautiful. Rooms are spacious and well heated. The only issue was the The rooms were cleaned at 5.30 pm on the second day and as we were getting ready so couldn't let them clean it.

Nice and tidy rooms. The back ones are a little small but it was new and clean and cosy. Simon the manager was exceptional, we had a minor issue with booking through a third party site and he helped us out to resolve it. Great view from the dining room and good food. Would stay there again but maybe get the front room with the balcony.

We were booked in to stay at Peppers for 1 night. The day we were meant to arrive the roads got closed due to snow storms. We received a phone call directly from the hotel advising us that we could not get through on the roads and we could not therefore stay that night. We then changed our route and paid for accommodation elsewhere. We have since requested a refund from the hotel however they have since replied saying that they will NOT refund as they were unable to resell the room; we didn’t cancel (even though they canceled us) AND no refunds are given for road closures. 3 separate reasons. Basically once you’ve paid that’s it. They keep your money no matter what. However - due to the snow storm the people who were already there had to stay again and had to pay for another night. Double dipping at its finest. Typical user pays and big corporations greedily take. Terrible way to treat customers - especially being our first overseas family holiday. How disappointing.

Great location. Awesome views. Rooms weren't ready till about 6, due to lack of staff, but were warm clean and comfy. A pamphlet on TV remote and gas fire, dryer and things to do in Tekapo etc, would have been useful.

Staff shortages hampered a smooth check in. That aside the check in staff were great. Our room/ apartment was fantastic. Clean spacious and very well appointed. Easy short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. The food at the resorts Rakinui restaurant was excellent. Not a lot to choose from. But what they did, they did very well.
