Just stayed here recently for 1 night, we booked 2 rooms. From check in to check out the staff were a delight to deal with. Rooms very dated, but the lake view was well worth it. The rooms were very clean and tidy, also with hospitality taking a big hit this past 2yrs justifies the lack of spruce up to the rooms. Wifi didn't work but for 1 or 2 nights not the end of the world. Would stay here again.

Room had a great view, and the check in experience was great. That's the best I have to say about it. During our stay, the heater and fridge weren't working, then the water got shut off to the room with no notice. It was 4+ hours until it was back on, we called the night manager who advised there were council works and that there was nothing they could do. No offer of a bottle of water (was advised that, despite the place having a bar and restaurant, there were no bottles of water on site). So we went to bed without a shower, without brushing our teeth and without being able to have a drink or be able to flush the toilet. Really not good enough.

We stayed one night in this hotel - my daughter and granddaughter and me. The room was expensive for what it was. A shabby bathroom with grubby grouting in the tiled area and very uncomfortable beds. Very small room that looked out onto a public area - hence lacked privacy. Noisy heater. I would not recommend this hotel for stays longer than one night. Expensive - and I got a special price! Would not stay again.

Wonderful accommodation in one of New Zealand’s most beautiful destinations. Lakefront view and incredible scenes of the Mountain range on your doorstep. Staff were super friendly and accommodating

You know when you have a bad day, and someone just says the nice and correct words? The hotel was nice, but my thanks go for the reception guy, Gi (sorry if the spelling is wrong) from Curitiba. I was having a terrible day with my car and an overheated engine, and he just said the correct kindest words. Thanks ????
